Science Fiction? Exploring the Boundaries of Physics

Science Fiction? Exploring the Boundaries of Physics

Andreas Halner

Many science fiction stories include technologies that seem far out of our reach, such as: invisibility, teleportation and time travel. However, are these technologies really that far-fetched? This lecture will introduce you to the boundaries of modern physics, and examine how close we are to replicating the achievements of science fiction. Could someone turn invisible? Is there such a thing as teleportation? And finally, can we time travel to the past or future? Even more importantly, if we could, could we return? Watch this lecture to find the answers.
