Year 12 & 13 Inspire Programme, 2021-23

What is the Year 12 & 13 Inspire Programme?

The Year 12 & 13 Inspire programme is a two year programme. The first year of the programme is about academic exploration and personal development. Pupils will attend a series of online academic taster talks by scholars from Oxford or other leading universities. Skills development sessions will help you develop your university application and further skills useful for university, for example managing your money and mental health awareness. There will also be opportunities to apply to attend study days and a summer school at St John’s College, Oxford!

The second year of the programme, when pupils are in Year 13, is focused specifically on applying to university, revising effectively for your exams and making a successful transition from school to higher education. The second year of the programme is fully online, allowing you to fit activities around your studies and access the material at your own pace. How do I apply?

We will be opening applications for this programme later this year for pupils at all non-selective state schools and sixth-form colleges in the Oxford for South East group, as well as all of the St John’s Link Local Authority regions: the London Boroughs of Ealing and Harrow; Brighton and Hove; East and West Sussex; and Southampton.

Academic talks will explore the topic ‘Order in our World’ from a variety of subject perspectives.
